Invitation
The Australian Association of Gerontology (SA & NT Division) is hosting it’s first Northern Territory conference in Darwin, the Northern Territory’s vibrant, tropical capital, on Thursday and Friday, the 12 & 13 August 2010.
This 2 day event will bring together a wide range of people with an interest in issues of ageing - aged care providers and professionals, policy makers and advocates, researchers and students, and older people themselves.
The conference will:
- Raise the profile of ageing issues, and related organisations including AAG, Alzheimer’s Australia, Council on the Ageing, National Seniors.
- Raise awareness of service delivery challenges specific to regional, rural and remote areas in Northern Australia.
- Promote the value of working aged care to the broader community.
- Provide opportunities to showcase and encourage local research in ageing and aged care.
